The Gooniees 101 - The Gooniees are an influential duo unlined by their intentions to combine each of their musical talents into one genetic sound. It is said that you will never get similar first impressions from these two DJs. This is because you don’t know what to expect from The Gooniees. Their name originated from the 1985 adventure-comedy film “The Goonies”, which fits their characteristics without question in a spontaneous way. If you are ever get the chance to hang out with these guys you would know exactly what I’m talking about. They’re your typical skaters with an “I don’t give a fuck” attitude and rock style lifestyle that music helps maintain. The Gooniees are personal friends of mine and I know by experience that they love entertaining their fans, while trashing one hotel at a time.
Things usually aren’t familiar to someone unless they were once looking for it. I stand still while my whole world is shaken by a sudden appearance. There in front of me stands the girl I’ve been crushing all throughout high school. I wish I could say I made my next decision on my own. Though, alcohol can make your confidence sky rocket; I’ve counted down too many years not to launch for the chance to talk to her now. Only if I knew I could lift off so easily back when I tried so hard.
I bop my head to the bass to disguise the fact that I’m really not this brave. I feel the energy around me, but is that all it takes to fit in? I’ve gone too far to retreat from my intensions now. Along with every other guy in here, I search for the first girl I think I have a chance to dance with. Who would of thought, that this one personal goal would quickly become a game?
